Miriam Bristoll Staff Profile

Miriam has over 25 years teaching experience across the primary and middle school age ranges in schools in Warwickshire, Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin. She has held coordinating roles for English, Science, Physical Education, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2 and SEND. She has also held posts as Deputy Head teacher and Assistant headteacher.

Her experiences within school and within her own family led her to training as a specialist teacher and assessor of Specific Learning Difficulties – Dyslexia through Edgehill University. Her motivation for supporting children achieving their full potential also led Miriam to undertake further training of Specific Learning Difficulties – Dyscalculia/Mathematical Difficulties with Chester University. Miriam holds current APC and is an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and active member of her local PATOSS group.

Miriam is passionate about recognising children’s strengths, engaging their interest and supporting their individual needs. She regularly tutors children who are experiencing learning difficulties including SPLD. Miriam also volunteers with her local scouting group, Riding for the Disabled, swim team and athletics team. She loves spending time walking her dog and with her friends and family.
