Learning Support

We are specialist, qualified and experienced advisory teachers who work with senior leadership staff, teachers, teaching assistants and parents to support children and young people (4-18) when their progress is causing a concern.

We support staff with up-to-date knowledge through our own practice and CPD, which provides us a completely thorough understanding of assessment and reporting processes. Reports are moderated and monitored by recognised approving bodies.

We are affiliated with the British Dyslexia Association and hold AMBDA and the mandatory Approved Practitioner Status from SpLD Assessment Standards (SASC) to diagnose specific learning difficulties – dyslexia and dyscalculia.

We provide a range of assessments and support for pupils, schools and families which includes, but is not limited to:

· Assess-plan-do-review consultancy visits to support person centred planning with a focussed assessment of one aspect of learning assessed, for example reading, with a short, written account of observations and outcomes for their Person-Centred Plan.

· Full assessment of cognition and learning (formal/standardised and informal/non-standardised), meeting the parents/carers with verbal feedback to the class teacher/SENCo and a detailed diagnostic report with personalised recommendations

· Diagnostic approved assessment (standardised) for SpLD Dyslexia and Dyscalculia with parent/carer and staff verbal feedback

· Exam Access Arrangements
