Julie Saxby Staff Profile

Julie is a mainstream classroom teacher with thirteen years of practice in the UK and international schools.  In addition, she has experience of teaching in resourced provisions for children with Communication and Interaction difficulties and has Teacch training.

She has developed her SEN experience further with post graduate studies. Her experience led Julie to being seconded as an advisory teacher with a neighbouring Local Authority as an advisory teacher for autism. 

She was appointed as an advisory teacher for Learning and continued her professional studies in specific learning difficulties-Dyslexia. She has specialised in the field of dyslexia and learning. Julie was a member of the training team disseminating the Inclusion Development Programme-Dyslexia to schools for the Authority.

In September 2011, Julie joined Woodlands Outreach Service as a Specialist Advisory teacher for Learning. She has continued to attend national conferences and professional development to extend her knowledge to support schools and pupils, as well as provide training to schools.

Julie’s qualifications include B.Ed. degree (English and SEN), Post Graduate Advanced Diploma in SEN, Post Graduate Certificate in SpLD Dyslexia (merit), Post Graduate Diploma in SpLD Dyslexia (merit) and Post Graduate Certificate NASENCo.

Julie professional accreditations include Associate Teacher of the British Dyslexia Association ATS BDA1028, Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association, AMBDA Number:12/AM2022 and SASC Assessment Practising Certificate 19/APC12234.
